The Bell Curve and the Drum

Escape the sensible middle. The exits from normie hell all look ridiculous — take them anyway.

Picture a bell curve. The fat middle is where most people live. This is the normie hell — the zone of reasonable decisions, sensible timelines, defensible logic, and socially ratified ambition. This is where you quietly go a little dead behind the eyes over the course of thirty years.

At the far right tail, the top one percent, you have the people we later write books about. They quit their jobs on a whim. They bought the one-way ticket. The descriptions are identical to the bottom one percent. The difference only becomes visible over time.
